is an illustrator and designer with an adult children’s book, Wendell the Wendigo, funded through a kickstarter campaign earlier this year. Professionally, they do freelance work for book cover design, children’s books, and promotional illustration for companies.
Joy’s personal work involves children’s books and character design—the content they want to create in the world normalizes the existence of queer people, people of color, and disabled people by not making their differences the focal point of the story. They also run an online store, doing surface design for merchandise including faux leather bags, keychains, stickers and notebooks. Every so often, they run a 30+ artist artbook.
Based in New York. BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.
